Mais Alghanim

Mais Alghanim is a Kuwaiti institution, a big, old-school Lebanese restaurant on the Sharq waterfront, looking out across the Gulf toward Kuwait Towers. The dining halls are spacious and warmly traditional, all wood and calm, built for families and large groups rather than a quiet solo meal; there's a sea-view terrace outside that's the seat to ask for at sunset. The kitchen runs the full Lebanese repertoire: mezze, grills, biryani, with the hummus and fresh bread drawing the most praise, plus a dedicated breakfast each morning from 8 to 11. Valet, family seating, a prayer room and a shisha area round it out.
